Nick & Donna: Enagement Session Part I

I'm so very excited about this engagement session... fun couple... perfect weather... autumn backdrop... perfection! Donna and I went to the same high school, and were on the tennis team together... Donna and Nick recently got engaged, and I was so honored when she picked ME to be their wedding photographer!! my first Michigan wedding!! yay!!

We had a lot of fun during the shoot... well, at least Donna and I did =) kinda made Nick suffer through a lot of PDAs for the camera ;-) but... the end result...amazing pictures!! Donna and Nick are such a cute and fun couple... I had a ton of fun editing through the pictures... and of course, had a difficult time picking which ones to put on my blog... so I decided to do part 1 and part 2 =) here are part 1 previews =) enjoy!!

so you've heard this before... and if you haven't, this won't be the last that you hear me say it... the following images are the reason why I'm always traveling up to Michigan... and a huge part of the reason why I miss Michigan... oh so much! how can i not miss my little guys? even when they are being little brats, it's very hard not to love on them... they are so cute, cute, cute!! hope you enjoy! many more to come =)

I'm back from Michigan... well, physically back... mentally I'm still savoring the beautiful autumn weather...the colors of the trees... and the lingering giggles and kisses from my nephews... yes, my heart is still in Michigan... but it is good to be back in your own home... your own bed =)
just wanted to say I've missed my bloggy friends and I had to leave you with a teaser shot from Nick & Donna's engagement session I took while I was away...many more to come... enjoy!

Contest Winner!

Before I announce the winner of my contest, I just want to greet everyone farewell!! This will be my last post... until next week, anyway =) My Michigan trip has finally arrived!! Tomorrow I leave for Michigan and greet the cold weather with Dave, his dad, and Dave's nephew Isaiah... my brother in law called last night to warn us of the high 40s temperature and to bring lots of sweaters and warm clothes... Isaiah has been so excited to visit his friend/cousin, James... so excited, that he packed his little luggage a few days back... I have been quite excited myself... I absolutely cannot wait, and will probably have a sleepless night due to excitement!

Saturday on the water...

I have been so excited about sharing these pictures... Saturday our friend Dan invited us on his friend's boat at Okeeheelee park to capture him, Jimmy, and Jimmy's 9 year old son Drew do some fancy things on the water... I've never even heard of "wake skating" until Drew and Jimmy showed us exactly what it was all about... it's basically skate boarding on water, but there's nothing basic about it... it looks very difficult, even though the boys made it look super easy... then Dan got lots of air as he jumped, twisted, and flew in the air with his wake boarding tricks... some talented and skilled men...

We had a lot of fun on the boat, as we captured some pretty sweet tricks that I would never even fathom trying... these water shots are a first for me... I hope you enjoy!

the autumn that surrounds me...

if you don't live in South Florida, fortunately you're not suffering from the record breaking heat that we are still suffering through =( it's practically mid-October and it feels like mid-July... so with the heat, and the none changing leaves... it's hard to remember sometimes that it's already fall... which is why I'm so looking forward to our Michigan trip!! only 4 short days away!! we're flying up for my sister's baby shower, to celebrate Diwali, and just to be with my family =) (oh yeah, also squeezing in some photo shoots =) i cannot wait to chase and squeeze my nephews, to see my family, and to be surrounded by the true autumn season...

with that, i leave you with the autumn that surrounds me at home... little reminders in every corner of my home that it's autumn...it may not feel like it outside... but it's here... enjoy =)

one of the many reasons why i love Dave... he indulges me with all my delights and satisfies all my cravings... one random Friday night, i had an itch to do some night shots... he packed up all my equipment, and off we went! it was a fun night driving around... enjoying each others company...my honey, he doesn't like to brag... but he's also quite the photographer =) here are some of the images we took... enjoy! and have a great Saturday!
